Photos, Stockholm, Christmas Day 2001.

Spending last Christmas in the city where I was born and raised, I had to relive the severe kind of winter possible in Stockholm - but rarely in my present home town Malmö, further south. Not only was the temperature below -15 centigrade, but there was the wind factor too. And the snow kept on falling, most of the time.

I can't say that I long back to that kind of life - still, it was quite enjoyable to be a visitor to it, for a few days. The snow, in particular, is a treat, making the city much brighter and its noises sort of muffled. It is a pity that with the snow, there is usually the cold temperature.

Anyway, here are 16 pictures from a snowy Stockholm, all taken on Christmas Day. You can watch them without freezing. Click each picture to go to the next one, or go to the thumbnail gallery. Please let me know what you think of my photos - it's easy enough with the form below.
