  TORITORI UKEUKE
  MAE: starting position.
Starting position. Tori at left, uke at right.

Starting with jo by left side, facing uke, feet together.
Starting in chudan kamae, sword drawn and held at middle guard, facing tori.

Step forward with left foot, lift sword to jodan kamae, over the head.

Step forward with left foot, jo to chudan kamae, middle guard.
MAE: advance.

Step forward to the right with the right foot, gedan uchi, low level hit on uke's knee, while uke's arms are still over the head.
Step forward with right foot.

MAE: gedan uchi.
Chudan giri, vertical cut to middle level, in the direction of tori's original position.
6
Lift jo to jodan kamae, over the head, and turn toward uke.
Yokomen uchi, hit to the side of uke's head.
MAE: jodan.
7
MAE: yokomen uchi.
Yield sword to migi no waki, right side guard.
Retreat three steps.
  MAE: uke retreats.
8
Pull jo back to chudan kamae, middle guard.
Step back to the starting position.
 
  MAE: final position.
Ending position. Tori at left, uke at right.
