Starting position. Tori at left, uke at right.

Starting with jo at left side, back turned to uke.
Starting in chudan kamae, sword drawn and held at middle guard, behind tori.

USHIRO: uke advances.
Step forward with left foot, lift sword to jodan kamae, over the head.

Step forward with left foot, then right foot forward to the right.
Step forward with right foot.
4 USHIRO: evasive step.
Chudan giri, cut to middle level, in the direction of tori's original position.

Turn around on the spot, then the jo to chudan kamae.
Short step back, draw sword to jodan kamae. Step forward with the right foot.
 
USHIRO: turn.
USHIRO: gedan uchi.

Step forward to the right with the right foot, gedan uchi, low level hit on uke's knee, while uke's arms are still over the head.

Chudan giri, cut to middle level, in the direction of tori's former position.

Lift jo to jodan kamae, over the head, and turn toward uke.
Yokomen, hit to the side of uke's head.
USHIRO: jodan kamae.

USHIRO: yokomen uchi.
Yield sword to migi no waki, right side guard.
Retreat three steps.
  USHIRO: uke retreats.
Uke retreating.

Pull jo back to chudan kamae, middle guard.
Step back to the starting position.
 
  MAE: final position.
Ending position. Tori at left, uke at right.
