  TSUKI - starting position.
Starting position. Tori at left, uke at right.

Starting with jo by left side, facing uke.
Starting in chudan kamae, sword drawn and held at middle guard, facing tori.

Step forward with left foot.

Step forward to the left with left foot, turn the jo up, put right hand above the left hand grip.
TSUKI - evasion.

Chudan tsuki, thrust to middle level, in the direction of tori's original position.

Harai with the jo, in a semi-circular move from left to right, pushing uke's sword a bit to uke's left.
TSUKI - harai.

Slide with right hand and grip the right side end of the jo, then slide with left hand to grip the other end of the jo.
Step back with right foot, and draw sword to jodan kamae.
TSUKI - draw for tsuki.

Step forward with right foot.
 
TSUKI - chudan tsuki.

Chudan tsuki, thrust to middle level, and push uke backward.
Men, cut to the head, in the direction of tori's former position. Retreat one step with right foot when pushed.
 
 
TSUKI - jodan kamae.

Draw jo to jodan kamae, stepping in with right foot.
Yield sword to migi no waki, right side guard.
Retreat two steps.

Pull jo back to chudan kamae, middle guard.
Step back to the starting position.
 
  TSUKI - ending position.
Ending position.
