Starting position. Tori at left, uke at right.

Starting with jo by left side, uke on forward left.
Starting in chudan kamae, sword drawn and held at middle guard, tori on forward right.

Step forward with left foot, then right foot, into front of uke.
 
  HIDARI - first step. HIDARI - turn.

Turn toward uke, left foot forward, jo to chudan kamae, middle guard.
Step forward with left foot, lift sword to jodan kamae, over the head.
  HIDARI - chudan kamae.

Step forward to the right with the right foot, gedan uchi, low level hit on uke's knee, while uke's arms are still over the head.
Step forward with right foot.

MAE: gedan uchi.
Chudan giri, vertical cut to middle level, in the direction of tori's original position.

Lift jo to jodan kamae, over the head, and turn toward uke.
Yokomen uchi, hit to the side of uke's head.
MAE: jodan.

MAE: yokomen uchi.
Yield sword to migi no waki, right side guard.
Retreat three steps.
  MAE: uke retreats.

Pull jo back to chudan kamae, middle guard.
Step back.
